  • When you donate to the Church or access our services or programs.

If you do not agree with our policies and practices, that is completely fine! However, that means you are not able to use our Websites. By accessing or using this Websites, you agree to this privacy policy, which may change from time to time. Your continued use of this Websites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so it is important you check the policy periodically for updates. 

 

Data Collection From Children

We strive to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from U.S. children under 13 without appropriate parental notice and consent.

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Websites. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Websites, making a donation, applying to be a volunteer or staff, and subscribing to our online or offline services.

  • Details of donations and transactions you carry out through our Websites and, if applicable, of the fulfillment of your orders.

Payment Data 

We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies  

As you navigate through and interact with our Websites, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

  • Details of your visits to our Websites, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Websites.

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information: You can set your browser to refuse all of some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

 

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. Note: we must keep all donation records for at least a period of three years. 

 

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, the security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you a password for access to certain parts of our Websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Websites. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. 

 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you. The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.

If you choose to opt in to receive text messages from Church the following terms apply. By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages (SMS and MMS), which may include informational, event-related, ministry updates, and occasional promotional messages. Message frequency varies.

Messages may be sent using automated technology. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or donation. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan.

 

Opting In

You may opt in by following the instructions provided at the point of signup, including texting a designated keyword to a short code or submitting your number through an online form.

 

Opting Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP or PARAR to any message. You will receive a confirmation text confirming your opt-out, after which you will no longer receive text messages unless you opt in again.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:

We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time. 

Performance of a Contract  We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.

Vital Interests  

We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.

In legal terms, we are generally the “data controller” under European data protection laws of the personal information described in this Privacy Notice, since we determine the means and/or purposes of the data processing we perform. This Privacy Notice does not apply to the personal information we process as a “data processor” on behalf of our customers. In those situations, the customer that we provide services to and with whom we have entered into a data processing agreement is the “data controller” responsible for your personal information, and we merely process your information on their behalf in accordance with your instructions. If a third-party service provider is processing your EU or UK users’ personal information, they need to provide you with a data processing agreement in order for you to comply with the GDPR. This agreement can usually be found in the third-party service provider’s terms of service, or they may have a separate data processing agreement. Ask your third-party service providers for their data processing agreements if you’re unable to locate them. If you do not have the third-party service provider’s data processing agreements, then it will be in violation of the GDPR. This step is crucial for GDPR and UK state privacy law compliance and we suggest that you contact your third-party service providers and ask them to sign a Data Processing Agreement with you.
